2025/26 CSSHL Most Sportsmanlike Award Winners

The Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) has announced the winners of the 2025/26 Most Sportsmanlike Award, as voted by the coaches:

Eastern U17 Prep: Charles Faucher, Stanstead College

The Halifax, NS defenseman finished the season with 5 assists in 18 games while committing just 5 minor penalties.

Eastern U18 Prep: Taitt Dobbin, Bishop’s College School

This is the second Most Sportsmanlike Award for Dobbin after winning the award in the East U17 Prep Division during the 2023/24 season. Dobbin finished fifth in the division and second on his team in scoring with 34 points in 23 games this season. The Paradise, NL forward, who had a division best 4 game winning goals, finished the season with 14 penalty minutes.

Female U18 Prep: Zinnia Lin, Delta Hockey Academy Black

The Freshman forward finished her first CSSHL season with 4 goals and 7 assists in 30 games, while committing just 1 minor penalty.

U15: Kingston Ireland, OHA Edmonton & Kingston Prenioslo, RHA Kelowna

A defenseman from Edmonton, AB, Ireland finish fifth among all defensemen with 44 points in 33 games, tops among OHA Edmonton defenders. Ireland would finish the season with just 4 penalty minutes.

Prenioslo would lead his RHA Kelowna team with 24 assists and 37 points in 35 games, while taking just 4 minor penalties.

U15 Prep: James Butterwick, Edge School

A forward from Calgary, AB, Butterwick finished second in team scoring with 35 points in 30 games while taking just one minor penalty.

U17: Ivey Vermeulen, Prairie Hockey Academy

The 2010 born forward from Maarssen, Netherlands tallied 8 goals and 22 assists in 35 games for Prairie. Vermeulen would go the entire 2025/26 regular season and playoffs without taking a single penalty.

U17 Prep: Jaden Brackett, BWC Academy

Brackett played 28 games recording 7 goals and 19 assists for BWC Academy. The Sechelt, BC forward had just 8 penalty minutes in his second CSSHL U17 Prep season.

U18 Prep: Landon Nagle, Okanagan Hockey Academy

Nagle led his OHA team with 33 assists while finishing second with 43 points in 28 games. The Port Falls, Idaho forward finished the year without taking a single penalty during the regular season.
